Cytech Technical One is intended to be the minimum standard to which all professional bicycle mechanics should work, and includes theory and practical training. It covers the basic competencies required to assure that bicycles are assembled correctly and are compliant with relevant Australian and New Zealand regulations. It forms the foundation of all the other trade courses, and must be completed prior to enrolling in other Technical courses.

It leads to the designation of Cytech Master Technician, one of the highest available bicycle industry qualifications worldwide.
